Position: Administrative Clerk: Administrative Support
Salary Level: Salary Level 05 (R202,233 – R235,611 p.a. exclusive of benefits)
Location: Frances Baard District – Jan Kempdorp Local Office
Closing date: 01 December 2023

Minimum Requirements:

  • Senior Certificate
  • 0-1 year working experience
  • Knowledge in support services
  • Essential computer literacy
  • Post-matric qualification and valid driver’s license advantageous

Duties Include:

  • Maintaining log books for pool vehicles and ensuring their maintenance
  • Updating appropriate registers
  • Reviewing completeness of leave forms and HR Documentation
  • Forwarding HR requests to Regional/District office for finalization
  • Establishing and maintaining a filing system aligned with SASSA’s master file plan
  • Representing the Local Office in meetings, forums, committees
  • Assisting in arranging meetings, events, or awareness campaigns
  • Obtaining quotations and ordering items
  • Receiving, checking, and booking items in accordance with delivery notes
  • Arranging payments for invoices
  • Receiving VA2 from supervisor and issuing stores
  • Sending documents for approval to Regional/District Office

Important Notes:

  • Pre-employment screening (qualification, references, ITC, and criminal checks) is compulsory for appointment.
  • Foreign qualifications should be evaluated by SAQA before the selection process.
  • Security Vetting is mandatory for all SASSA staff upon appointment.
