Job Purpose:
To execute cleaning and/or refuse bin delivery-related tasks including Street Cleaning, Stacking, Sweeping, Lane Flushing, Carcass Removal, Bin Deliveries, and other general duties as required.
About Pikitup Johannesburg (SOC) Ltd:
Pikitup is the authorized integrated waste management service provider to the City of Joburg. Operating with a workforce of over 4500 and using more than 200 trucks, the organization services Johannesburg’s 1,625 square km area. This includes the collection of approximately 6000 tons of waste daily and cleaning around 9,000 kilometers of streets across seven regions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Street Cleaning and Sweeping
- Litter picking and bin maintenance
- Handling refuse bags, stacking, and bin delivery
- Resolution of complaints and queries
- Liaising with the public and officials for prompt issue resolution
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 10
- Physical and mental fitness
- No criminal record
- South African citizenship
- Police Clearance
- Residence within City of Johannesburg
Minimum Experience:
- 12 months relevant or similar experience
Competencies:
- Knowledge of relevant tools, equipment, and procedures
- Understanding of relevant legislation and company procedures
